these three photos just about sum up the weekend. matt had plans friday night, so i curled up on the couch with the cat and a stack of sports illustrated issues i’d gotten behind on reading. and yes, i read the articles and this magazine is in my name. i love sports! what can i say?

our farmers market is now online. for the winter months, we can order our produce (most of the farmers use greenhouses so we can continue to get home grown veggies all year long), baked goods and yummy grass fed animal parts through the market website and pick up our haul on saturday morning. this is my most favorite way to shop local. and the cranberry jam? sooooooo good.

the patriots were on their bye week, so matt took the opportunity to do some home improvement on sunday. we’d been wanting to paint our outside trim for a while and with the polar vortex barreling its way southward, we knew we needed to get it done now or wait til spring. so yay, for a fresh new look. although next time we need to do a project, we’re just going to move instead.

fall came to visit northwest arkansas this weekend, and as any unwelcomed guest is want to do, she unpacked her bags to stay for the long haul. so saturday morning, i donned my long socks, boots and leggings as pants and went down to the farmers market to pick up my root vegetables because if it feels like autumn i will eat like it’s autumn.

we were mostly kid free on saturday so matt and i decided to live it up by day drinking and even hitting up our local watering hole for mussels and more drinks. there may have been friends and shenanigans involved as well.

sunday my team finally got their sh*t together and pulled out a most decisive win. so all in all, this weekend ruled pretty hard.

now on this rainy, dreary, and most fall-like monday, my love has the day off and we’re going shopping and eating sushi. yay!
