yesterday i got to sample some of the rarest and tastiest bourbon made by the hands of men. pappy van winkle is like the holy grail. the whole state of arkansas got six bottles, and our local bar got one of them. it was liquid gold. smooth vanilla oak aged deliciousness. we were limited to a one ounce pour per person and by the time we left the restaurant, a little more than an hour after the grand opening, half the bottle was gone. it was a popular little tasting. and although my tiny little glass of fine, fine whiskey goodness went down too fast, it did make the chilly walk home a touch warmer.
